Experience was OK but considering the value for money-ratio it was definately not worth the relatively high price. Location is good if not excellent but the hotel is old. The venues for the bar and the brasserie are beautiful but the rooms and hallways just look plain and worn-out leaving the over-all impression lame.
Breakfast buffet was definitely nothing special.

One of the oldest hotel in Helsinki with nice 1900th century atmosphere. In the lobby the interior was old fashioned. Rooms were big and clean and quiet. Beds and pillows were extremely nice. They have exceedingly fine looking dining room. Service was excellent. All and all money well spent

Best thing about this hotel is the location - could also be a bad thing as no A/C in the rooms hence windows need to be open.

1st night room was on the back and 4th floor - next to next doors A/C units so noisy all night. Got updgraded to a Club room for further 3 nights and this was on the front overlooking station. Still noisy with people and trams but OK.

Breakfast not as good as other Helsinki hotels in my opinion and ran out of croissants 2 days out of 4 which wasn't good.

OK for the rate that we got it for though........Would stay again at the right rate!

Room Tip: Ask for 4th or 5th floor, back left rooms as you come out of lift - from memory those around 411.

This is a very cool prestige hotel from back in the day. They claim to be the oldest hotel in Helsinki, and I think they might be right. When you walked into the bar lobby the bar tender and the one old man in there stared at me as if they were ghosts. 80% of us slept bad for our enitre stay, each night. Perhaps there are some old haunted parts. Or maybe it was just the noise from the street, the awkward sideway placed bed. The breakfast gentleman is far from friendly and should not work in hospitality.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the court yard iso the street.

Good old times. You can still feel the early 1900th atmosphere. ... but the rooms are very modern and clean. Excellent club rooms. Good menu in the restaurant. Breakfast quite good.
Even the hotel is close to main railway station, it is safe place to walk. Helsinki is safe and clean town.

Room Tip: Choose club room

A nice hotel just across the street from the central railway/bus station. Maybe It lacks some gloss, but has its own old face and feel, and rooms are fully equipped with everything you may need. Breakfast menu was really good and diverse.

For this prize never again! Breakfast unacceptable, some rooms too warm and loud from a/c of the building next door ( e.g. on the very right side). We could change to 2nd floor, that was ok. I would recommand to take another hotel, Seurahuone is not worth the prize!
