We stayed at this hostel three from 30 to 31 December 2012. We rarely live in such places, so do not immediately found a third bed (It was hidden under the bed). Bed linen and towels are clean but worn out. The rooms are small. The whole house is clean. On each floor there are showers and toilets for women and men in different parts of the corridor. Not very comfortable bathrooms: really no place to put and change cloves for the shower. There you can have budget breakfast.

I've stayed in the hostel for 3 nights. It's one of the cheapest accommodation in Helsinki. The rooms were clean but very basic. Tourist locations are within walking distance (5-15 minutes). There is only one elevator in the hostel, so sometimes I had to wait quite long for it, what is annoying, especially when you're going with the luggage.
The restaurant serves very good food in acceptable prices.

4 nights. nice hostel in city centre (5mins walk from market square, 10mins from senate square, 15mins from central station). room was ok for 2 people, not so clean in high season. beds are ok. free sauna in the morning, very cosy place.
they clean public bathrooms and (large) showers very well, everyday.
nice staff during the day, not so kind during the night.
expansive breakfast (8 euros). you'd better use the kitchen (open till 11pm) to eat.
the price was fair.

The price of the room is low (€45), but the quality of the room is even lower. The floor was dirty and the pillow terribly old and uncomfortable (didn't use it). The bed sheets are also very old. The room is small and feels like a prison cell. It was warm though, and the bathroom was clean, new and with strong comfortable showers. The internet is too expensive at €5 per day, and also the breakfast is too much at €8 for a hostel, but the food is nice. The shared kitchen is very poorly equipped, sometimes with no cups available. Thin walls, so pretty noisy, but at least it wasn't very busy in November. Basically, wouldn't recommend it, better to pay a bit more for nicer room.

EuroHostel Helsinki. The rooms are tidy and basic but the Hostel is rather expensive. The feel to the place is it tying to be a hotel? Everything costs money. WiFi is 5€ per day, breakfast costs 7€ you need to put a 10€ deposit on a key to put your stuff in the fridge. Which has locked boxes inside the fridge. There is a restaurant below which serves very basic food but quite good and reasonable prices for Helsinki. Some of the staff were very helpful while others seamed annoyed by us asking questions.
The bathrooms are clean, the kitchen/ kind of common area is clean but very limited. There are plates, bowels, knives and forks and only 2 cups. Which your NOT aloud to remove but they were never there. There is no kettle or toaster.
The hostel is very close to a tram stop which takes you straight into the city centre and right to the main station.
We enjoyed our stay in Helsinki.

I stayed here for five nights and left very satisfied. The hostel is right next to a street train stop, which made it very easy to get to the city center quickly. The room itself was fairly small, but really clean as were the showers and toilet facilities. There was also a kitchen with eating and cooking utensils at the end of the hall that was available for use at no extra charge. The front desk staff spoke good English. There is a sauna on the top floor.
