We loved our time at the Fabian and would return to it in a heartbeat.
The lobby is a great hangout spot, with comfy couches and drinks available from the front desk. We had drinks with friends in the afternoon, enjoyed the vibe of the hotel and the people watching. The breakfast is wonderful, great coffee, fresh fruit, efficient service. You can choose to sit outside in the courtyard, inside off the lobby, our (our favourite) in the solarium with lots of light. Take a minute to look at how solidly Finns construct their windows and doors - impressive.
Service is warm and efficient, but that was true everywhere we went in Scandinavia.
The location is quiet and is a quick walk to the main square. We only took one taxi the whole time we were there -- very expensive -- and we rolled our bags to and from the train station at the beginning of our trip. (Tougher to the hotel than back as it is slightly uphill).
A well-managed, interesting property, what a boutique hotel should be!
