We took a Viking Grace cruise in July and as a family with children aged 9 and 11 really enjoyed the trip. Solely the astonishing Swedish and Finnish archipelago with extremely beautiful summer villas make the cruise enjoyable. But the cruise boat adds more to your holiday - it is furnished nicely, as a new boat is very clean and the service is smooth and friendly.
We ate in Oscar a la carte restaurang. The food and drinks were delicious and the view from our table next to the window was spectacular. On our way back from Stockholm we took the buffet option and that is probably nothing to be recommended. Just ok, but the limited 1,5 hour time for a buffet lunch was a bit short and the crowd rushed with their lunch in a unpleasant way. Felt unfortunately a bit like in a school diner.
Our cruisevwas blessed with a sunny summer day and we had drinks with our friends in the deck. There were nice couches, DJ playing and drinks were yummy. A nice memory to look back when it gets cold and dark after couple of months.
