“a cozy place for all seasons”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

At first it seems like a little house in the middle of nowhere, when you get closer you realize that you have just found a warm corner to have a break from your city tour. Entering the place you can feel the smell of the snacks and the sweet delicacies with which you can accompany your coffee or any other drink. The only drawback is that they don't serve cappuccino which is my favorite coffee.
If the weather is good you can enjoy the sun from one of the tables that wait for you by the sea!

“My favourite cafe, all year round”
Reviewed June 15, 2013

The cutest little red cottage with cosy outdoor seating area offers tasty cinnamon buns, traditional Carelian pies and everything in between along with hot and cold drinks. You get 5c back for every coffee/ tea refill, and it's a custom to leave it as a tip (they have a big jar next to the till).
You can also grill sausages on the fire outside, BYO or buy one from the cafe.
Open year round, weather permitting.
I've been coming here since I was a kid and it has always been lovely to visit. It's like coming home ;)

“My most favourite place ever!!”
Reviewed June 9, 2013

Strongly recommended to me by a local; I have now been here several times! This cafe is small, unusual and cosy. It's not 'touristy' or pricey, and their cinnamon buns are the best I've ever tasted! There is a very pretty, larger seating area outside which is even more beautiful on a sunny day or during snowy weather as you are by the sea, surrounded by trees, and the pipes of the Sibelius Monument are visible from here. Inside is so warm that if you come here on a cold day you'll want to make yourself comfortable for hours drinking the coffee and eating one cinnamon bun after another. I would never go to Helsinki without visiting here at least once during the trip.

“Great little café by the sea”
Reviewed June 9, 2013

This is place where you bring our foreign friends, during winter and summer and it's always success.
Yes, inside there is only few placeses and that can be problem during sunny winterdays when place is fully packed, but if you managed to walk outside to this cafe, probably you have enougth clothes to stay out and enjoy sunny winter weather, watching people "walkin on frozen water". ;-)

Don't missit!

PS. it's open from morning till dust, 365 days a year

“Charming location, superb cinnamon pastries”
Reviewed June 1, 2013

This in a lovely cafe where it's great to sit by the sea, sip coffee, and eat delicious pastries (the smell of cinnamon is enticing) . Do not miss it if you're lucky enough to be in Helsinki on a sunny day!
