This over 100-year-old building in the Katajanokka area was constructed with the National Romantic style.

From outside it is a massive beautiful building. Inside there is not so much to see. At the moment, there is a dance school.

The building is under construction and maybe there is some more function to come.

A fine and well kept building which in the past was the main Custom House for the incoming vessels. Its now a nice place to visit, a nice cafe - part of the history of Helsinki

Designed by the famous architect Gustaf Nyström it was completed at the beginning of the last century. It is a stunning example of what is known as National Romanticism.

It has terrific facades on all sides. The stonework, predominantly brick, is admirable.

Its role was to serve the much increasing trade of the city in those times. This included acting as a bonded warehouse, a function that continued until the end of the 1960s.

It laid empty for about forty years after that. From 2010 onwards it has seen use as an exhibition and events space. A number of companies have also been set up.
