Another day, another Finnish "typical" restaurant. This one claims to be Italian - but judging by the food I seriously doubt the Chef has ever been anywhere close to Italy. We started with bruschetta and antipasto misto. These were both somewhat uninspiring. For mains my wife had Risotto , I had the oven baked Pollo Carbonara. Both dishes where bland and tasteless, we had to pour salt and pepper all over them to try and eek out a flavour. The Pollo Carbonara was made with the kind of nasty processed chicken you find on the top of a cheap supermarket pizza . There was a decent enough amount of pasta but it was simply drowned in cream and then roasted in the oven for 10 mins. Drinks were reassuringly expensive as always in Finland . The service was again typical of most Finnish establishments - i.e. there was none. We had to ask for menus, ask to take the order and go and find the waiter to try and get a bill.
Of course the warning signs were there when we arrived - the place was empty, but we wanted to give the benefit of the doubt.
Avoid and spend your money elsewhere !
