Another day, another Finnish "typical" restaurant. This one claims to be Italian - but judging by the food I seriously doubt the Chef has ever been anywhere close to Italy. We started with bruschetta and antipasto misto. These were both somewhat uninspiring. For mains my wife had Risotto , I had the oven baked Pollo Carbonara. Both dishes where bland and tasteless, we had to pour salt and pepper all over them to try and eek out a flavour. The Pollo Carbonara was made with the kind of nasty processed chicken you find on the top of a cheap supermarket pizza . There was a decent enough amount of pasta but it was simply drowned in cream and then roasted in the oven for 10 mins. Drinks were reassuringly expensive as always in Finland . The service was again typical of most Finnish establishments - i.e. there was none. We had to ask for menus, ask to take the order and go and find the waiter to try and get a bill.

Of course the warning signs were there when we arrived - the place was empty, but we wanted to give the benefit of the doubt.

Avoid and spend your money elsewhere !

The meal was largely unflavored, though we paid a pretty high price. The view is nice, the staff is friendly, but we rarely saw her after her initial hello. One meal arrived 10 minutes ahead of the other, so the first was cold by the time the second arrived. We were furious. There was too much heavy sauce (like a Hollandaise, tho it said it was a light wine sauce) and not enough salt. Server never asked if we wanted anymore drinks. All in all, barely average meal and overpriced.

We were staying at the nearby Hotel Glo and found this restaurant while wandering around the shopping center. We liked it so much that we ate here twice in one week. About the only thing surprising or unusual about this restaurant was that they did not have an English menu (Finnish and Swedish only) and the waiter did not speak English either. Nonetheless, I have lots of experience making myself understood when I don't speak much of the language, and Google translate really came in handy as well.

The food quality and presentation were outstanding. I especially enjoyed the pizza which I highly recommend. On our first visit I gave our waiter a small tip and the next time we stopped in he gave us excellent seats and even better service. On both visits (week nights) the restaurant wasn't very crowded which we thought was a shame since it was so good.

I encourage you to try this place and especially the Volcano pizza.

When this was Restaurant Prezzo it was better, now with the new owners this Italian restaurant has gone a little bit down with quality.
