You can see in Emma that Finland is not only Nokia. EMMA is the best modern art museum in Finland. There are also many museums in the same building, which is a former printing factory.
It,s a must.

I really liked this museum - my only complaint was that we got their about an hour and half before closing and could not do the entire museum. Many one of kind presentation and interactive pieces that you will likely find no where else. The museum is well laid out and you can view many pieces without climbing any stairs! Of course the Futuro house was completely awesome and the docent who was attending to the exhibit was very knowledgable in it's history and current state. This is a cab ride from the closest train station (which is the mall) - plan on having lunch at the mall and grabbing a cab (about 15 Euros) at the taxi stand and venturing over.

EMMA is housed in a former printing factory building. Unfortunately, due to the low ceilings, this is not suitable for showing fine art. The building is limited in this way. There is very little natural light. There seems to be a permanent collection of work by local artists, much of which is mediocre at best. This would be expected in a remote provincial museum but not in a big city like Espoo. Inside the museum is an interesting clock collection which goes a long way to explaining the development of time recording equipment.

Must see when you are in Espoo (just outside of Helsinki). The collection is a good representation of modern day Finland.
