Hanki Baari is my favourite place for lunch at Ruka, it's sort of snow boarders go-to place. The list is short and changes almost daily, which is obviously a good thing. The kitchen relies on local ingredients and classics, such as local fish and game, but also prepares dishes with Asian flavour. Fish meatballs made of pike with smooth as silk mashed potatoes are to die fore and they are luckily almost always on the menu. The bar has excellent selection of quality beers and the staff is as cool as can be. In the evenings there's often band or DJ.
