“Absolutely amazing”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on this safari. Petra and Kari handled the reindeer very well, treating them gently and with love. Also, Petra impressed us with how effortlessly she switched between English, Finnish, Russian and Czech, and how funny and approachable she was. After the thorough instruction from Petra on how to handle the reindeer, we set off on your way, and the experience was amazing. Arriving at the lake, we went ice fishing and, although we did not catch anything after patiently trying for an hour, we went into the kota (teepee), where Petra and Kari had a delicious salmon soup, bread, hot berry cider, and pulla waiting for us. The nice thing was that Petra and Kari did not rush us, they patiently answered all our questions, and generally made us feel very welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we give Petra and Kari a big thumbs up for a job well done.

“Amazing experience”
Reviewed December 26, 2012

Petra and Kari provided us with a first class safari - service and information was excellent. We were a family of 4 with 6 and 9 year old. The reindeer ride was exhilarating - husband took the reins and off we went - very well trained Reindeers led us off into the forest. Great to try ice fishing and my husband loved the snowshoeing - he ran off into the bush. We thought he might freeze out there. Hut fireplace was fabulous as we warmed our toes and salmon soup was piping hot - a perfect remedy for the cold.

“Out of this world”
Reviewed December 6, 2012

My fiance and i booked this trip as a consequence of not being able to book with our travel agents because theirs was full. However we are so glad that we did. This was by far better value for our money. Met by Petra and her little helper Pinja we had VIP treatment as we were the only ones that had booked that day. We enjoyed a reindeer sleigh ride, followed by ice fishing then ended with snow shoeing. A fun filled day which by far surpassed our expectations

“A Day to remember”
Reviewed December 23, 2011

If you want a day to remember - I would recomend taking a trip to Wolverine Fell wilderness and Nature. We took our family consisting of myself, my husband a 10 year old and a 3 year old to go Ice fishing and Kick sledging. We were met by our lovely guide in a remote woodland. After running through the basics of kick sledging we were left to take our time to enjoy the scenery and fresh air of the forest as we kick sledged our way to a hut in the forrest. On arrival our guide had prepared some hot drinks and we enjoyed warming ourselves up by the roaring fire. We then were shown how to ice fish - we started off by drilling through the ice. To our delight our 3 year old managed to catch a large rainbow trout! As the weather turned colder we retreated back to the hut to enjoy lovely homemade fish soup and warm drinks. The children loved cooking sausages on the open fire. The icing on the cake was when we got to eat the trout that we had caught. It was an activity I would recommend for both young and old. Our guide could not have made us any more welcome. The day will live in our memories forever.
