We stayed here for six nights as part of a pre-paid package. We had a balcony room in the newer 'annexe'. The room was basic but well equipped; very clean with its own sauna and drying cupboard, and a decent shower. Two rather small single beds. Room service was a bit dilatory - not done until 4pm on a couple of days. We had a fixed menu for meals but they were varied, well presented and all enjoyable. Friendly and helpful staff. Activities were pre-booked through the hotel and all ran precisely to time and were exactly as described - no disappointments. A walk to the Siida Museum is worth while.

We were so positively surprised about this Hotel! The room is absolutely clean, nicely and light decorated. The bathroom has a Sauna which is good for 2-3 people. Very lovely staff even spoke German. Visit the Siida Museum closeby, absolutely fantastic!

I can only recommend this Hotel to anyone. Also Inari is a very small, but lovely village.

The hotel decor is fairly basic but it has a great restaurant and the bar is a lovely place to sit and watch the fire. We stayed here with our four year old son. We saw the aurora borealis from the hotel balcony and then outside the hotel. It was magical. The food here uses local ingredients and recipes and is great. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. We would stay here again.

The food here is great - I can recommend the red trout as well as the sauteed reindeer. The warm cocktails are also good for warming up after a chilly day. The newer rooms have balconies and a sauna. Staff are friendly and organised my tours by email before I arrived.

Just returned from a 6 night stay at this excellent hotel. The rooms (in the New River block) were overlooking the frozen lake,
and we're an adequate size for a double. They all have their own sauna which is just what you need when returning from a freezing day outside. The food was very good and although the service was a bit slow, we were in no hurry as the dining room overlooked the aforementioned frozen river. It was fairly quiet when we were there and the staff were friendly and had time to talk, a special mention for Joanna who spent a long time explaining Sami culture! it was a 5 minute walk from the centre of the village and the frozen Lake Inara. Nothing was too much trouble and we would definitely recommend this hotel.

Our choir of 40+ stayed at the hotel in February for 5 days, the staff were friendly & welcoming. I had a single room & although small was perfectly adequate & comfortable with it's own bathroom. The food was wonderful & any special diets were catered for, we had 2 birthdays during our stay & 2 cakes were made for us as a suprise, one of which was gluten free, very impressive & a lovely touch. Inari in the snow is magical, we enjoyed snowmobiling on the frozen lake, a husky safari, snowshoeing & a reindeer safari. I have no hesitation in highly recommending the hotel Kultahovi.

I spent a few days at the Kultahovi motel while on a tour. I absolutely loved it. Nothing bad to say about it. Very friendly staff and the rooms are clean. The new block where I stayed even had a private sauna in each room, which I made good use of. The food was wonderful and they made it extra special for new year. I was too exhausted from all the tour activities to see the new year in but I believe there were fireworks and those in the group that did all had a good time. Everyone is friendly and really want you to have a wonderful experience. You won't be disappointed. Wifi in the community room/bar/dining areas and there is internet in the rooms but you'll need a special connector. The one Kaisu had didn't fit my laptop, so I just use the Wifi.
The town of Inari, although tiny, has a couple of shops, including gift shop which is great value, service station, grocery shop and a couple of others, pub, tour shops, wonderful museum and a massive new cultural centre. All are no more than a 10 minute walk from the Kultahovi motel. I can't comment on the value as it was part of the package but I believe the prices are very reasonable.

Room Tip: Lower floor of the new building if you don't like stairs. Could be harder to manage in full win...
