This was my first time in Musta Lammas restaurant. I had heard and read a lot about the place and my expectations were high. Everybody in our group had the the chef´s menu (60€).Amuse-bouche was very good, a tiny piece of pike-perch with delicate garnish. Pumpkin soup with goat cheese was excellent. The house breads are great, especially the malt bread. I had chosen scallop with pork and soy for my next course. It was OK, but somehow the flavors clashed a bit. Other´s had duck liver with beetroot. Duck liver was mousse- like, runny. Not good at all. The main course was Lamb prepared in two ways with cauliflower and dill. What is this with pureed cauliflower- seems to be really hip everywhere. Boring! The braised lamb was tender and good, but the other piece of lamb had no taste to it all. Big disappointment. Same goes with the desert; seabuckthorn is a very bitter berry and hard to chew and swallow. Most of the people prefer it prepared in some way. It was not good with the chocolate, that´s what our group thought. There was malt in the amuse-bouche and also in the desert. That was great. Malt had an interesting taste. We also got a complimentary mandarin sorbet at some point to clean our taste buds. Very good and it worked well.
We also had the "wine baggage" (38€/ person) to go along the chef´s menu. I liked the wines and I thought they were picked out skillfully.
I will definitely visit this restaurant again, but maybe next time choose things from the à la carte.
