When I was told they were booked solid on Saturday night I made a point of coming back another night to see what all the fuss was about. This is a nice little start up restaurant with two brothers having decorated the place and providing the recipe ideas and lots of the work. Now they need to add a little more ZING to the menu items.
The green salad needs more ingredients. In addition to lettuce, tomato and bread it would be nice to add some green such as onion or peppers or olives. More color in the taste contrast in the form of mushrooms or zucchini or broccoli other items would make the salad more worthy of its 8 euro price. The Spaghetti alla cargo could also use something. A colorful garnish of parsley or basil leaves would improve the whiteness of the plate. It would be good to be able to see some larger pieces of panchetta as well, both for color contrast and taste.
The pizzas could have stayed another few moments in the oven as a means of making the oil from the cheese disappear.
This is a nice little (50 seat) restaurant and I am sure the brothers will adjust and do just fine.
