“Good food, but expensive”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 10, 2012 via mobile

I went there with my partner to celebrate our anniversary. It is good restaurant, but expensive. Also there is hardly any option for vegetarians. Most people will take the set menus. The restaurant is in the cellar with candles and all. Nice in winter, not such a great in summer.
Service is average.

The set menu and the matching wines were otherwise excellent, just expensive. There are restaurants with better value for money in town.

“Fabulous. Go there.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 9, 2012

My friend and I dropped in on a whim, not expecting there to be a table available. As it happens, there was a big hockey match on that night, so the place was half-empty. Most of the guests seemed to be opting for the set menu, which includes anywhere between 5-8 courses, with matching wines of varying degrees of sophistication if you choose to pay extra. Because we were not particularly hungry, we just chose off the a la carte menu and ordered a bottle of wine.
The food here is fabulous. Every one of our dishes was exquisite. Unfortunately the wine list is geared towards seriously expensive bottles, but our Cotes de Castillon Chateau de l'Aiguilhe, which was one of the cheaper reds, was infinitely drinkable. The service was particularly impressive. I cannot fault a single element of the experience. And, when you compare the prices to other "trendy" restaurants in the vicinity, this place is not particularly expensive.

“Worth the money!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2011

It was a Birthday dinner. We took the 7 courses tasting menu, cost a little over 1000 SEK. Everything is exquisitely presented. The waiter is very well mannered and very knowledgeable about the food they serve, you can clearly see they have a strong passion about the food. Its a little pricey but its a good place to go for celebration.

“One of the best restaurants I have ever been to”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2011

I was taken here after a business engagement. The cooking and ingredients favour French cuisine. The food was simply stunning: scallops to start - sweet and succulent. For my main, Turbot cooked to perfection with horseradish jelly and butter foam; finishing with the monumental cheese selection. A finer choice of French cheeses I have never seen.

Service was attentive without being intrusive.

This is a fairly expensive restaurant; but it certainly delivered!
