“Ferry trip to Branno and back”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

Great view even in cold weather. Tram takes about 30min to get there from city centre and the ferry takes about 45 min one way. I did not have time to get off ferry as I had only 3hrs available. Check the ferry times because there are only few per day. Reading this before going would be useful:

When I get there the tram was bit late and the ferry has left the jetty but they saw me and another gentlemen rushing and the ferry came back to pick two of us. A++ for being so considerate.

“Stunning ferry trip, perfect for tranquility and adventure”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

When you are in Göteborg (Gothenburgh), you must visit to Southern Archipelago, and Styrsöbolaget ferry service is the best cost effective and convenient way. You will find tranquility, scenic beauty, lovely sun shine, scent of nature, local remote residents- what can you expect more. Spring, Summer and Autumn are the perfect time to visit but obviously summer is the best time. You will find some residents live in the different islands and they have to rely on the ferry service to go to and come from the main city. You can not camp in these islands, but you can make fire for BBQ in designated places. When you will in islands, you can feel that you are a member of 'Swiss Family Robinson' in a remote island. These ferries to the islands operate from the Saltholmen terminal, you can go to this terminal by tram route 11 from central Gothenburg, and during the summer period also tram route 9. You need ticket to travel by this ferry. But if you have Gothenburg travel card ((Västtrafikkort), you can use this for this service. You should bring your food and water while you will visit these islands as you will not find shops.
