“Great location”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

I’ve stayed in this hotel a number of times when on Business in Gothenburg. It’s a large hotel that is just like any other Radisson in Europe really! Staff are very friendly and I recommend getting a business class room just for the extra space and they are more modern. The gym is ok, it’s quite small but I never had trouble accessing equipment I wanted and there is a pool too. Free wifi in the rooms is good (all Radissons have this though).
I never ate breakfast in this hotel, but I could see the buffet from the glass lifts and it looks like there is a big selection.
The hotel always seems busy so there is always a bit of life in the bar and lobby. The location is great, within walking distance of everything the city has to offer.
Prices are pretty standard for Sweden. I’d recommend this hotel for business or leisure.

Room Tip: A business class room is worth the extra cost.

I stay at the hotel regularly, really great central location, walking distance from Gothenburg Central train station, which is great as Taxis are quite expensive in Sweden. Rooms are clean, service is good and the restaurant food is good, although menu is somewhat limited, not really an issue though as many restaurants within walkign distance. Overall a good choice for a central hotel.

The good:
- Broad breakfast buffet selection
- Located minutes walk from the central station
- Friendly staff
- Trouser press/valet in room
- 11am check out extended to 12pm
- The price, about £100 per night

The bad:
- 75 skr fee for anything to be brought to your room, from room service meals to drinking glasses!
- The static, which I believe was probably caused by the carpet.
- Bad coffee at breakfast
- Non-steam iron (at least it was already in room)
- Waited more than 10 minutes to check in as there were limited staff on to check people in at 9.30pm.

The ugly:
- Terrible, terrible decor, a relic from the 80s. It's been a while since I'd seen such bad carpet, and that was only the start of it.

Good: Good location, fine room, great breakfast.nice staff always tried to be helpful.

Not so good: Terrible FYI. After complaining, I got the impression that some rooms have better wifi than others so if it important, let them know when you check in...

This is a double stacked hotel with half of the rooms facing an atrium. I am not fond of this layout. I think the lack of natural light makes it more difficult to adapt to time change. If is important to you be sure to ask. Although we did not have a choice of an outside room and we survived.

Front desk is friendly and tries to be helpful but no real concierge. They don't seem to know the area very much or little issues like when I asked for change for the tram they said my credit card would work. I even pointed out that I did not have a pin. Insisted it would work ...of course it did not. But all small things.

Overall, nice hotel. Would stay there again...

Room Tip: Request a room with a window.

Stayed at this hotel for one night for business reasons. The hotel staff was friendly, lobby and room large for a Swedish hotel. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is located very close to the main train station and shopping districts. The room was clean and large but slightly old.

Large rooms. Had a view of Central Station. Good walking distance to area restaurants. Staff helpful. Be sure to bring an electricity converter if you are from abroad.centrally located. Looks like it may be a bit outdated with furnishings.

Short stay for just a night. Service fantastic accommodated late check out and early check in . Nothing was a problem. Location very central and close to the central station. Room was clean. The down side is that you do feel like you stepped into the 80s .
