Booked through conference. Short walk to convention center. Apparently I got lucky on my room (#165) -- a "business room" on ground level with windows facing a grassy courtyard. A patterned curtain panel provided privacy from facing rooms. I was able to leave window ajar at night. Fan provided. No air conditioning. (One colleague said his room faced a parking lot and another said his 2nd floor dormer room was dark.) Room was compact but sufficient, had all-body shampoo and soap, mini-bar, decent sound insulation. Hotel was full of well-behaved children due to proximity to amusement park. Lots of breakfast choices. Had great shrimp sandwich for dinner one night in lobby bar. WiFi was free and worked well though you had to re-sign in a lot. Staff was very helpful, pleasant and most spoke good English. They helped with cab to airport very early in AM and breakfast to go. Housekeeping in my room was minimal during my stay but colleagues seemed to get better service.

Room Tip: Interior facing rooms quieter. Business rooms may be worth extra cost.

Good hotel with the main amenities such as a mini fridge, courtesy coffee in the bedroom, great breakfast including a wide variety of breads and cereals and wi-fi connection. I've stayed at this hotel a couple of times and staff is always willing to help you. The room had a good size with an armchair and the bathroom has one of those heated bars to dry your towels. The nearest tram line is about 10 minutes walk, however, there's a bus station right across the street. If you're not in the mood for dinning at the hotel or choosing one of the many restaurants nearby, there's a grocery store just in front of the hotel so you can pick up stuffs to bring in. The hotel is located a little outside the city center, so it makes it perfect for a good rest in the evening.

Room Tip: In summer time, ssk for room with a view to the garden.

Really pleased with hotel good value for money even though needs a bit of work outside rooms were lovely and gardens on inner side were lovely too!!

Staff were really friendly and location of hotel was excellent near train station and a parade of shops nearby.

At first I was a little worried as we walked up, it looked more like nice national forest cabins than a hotel, but everything was fine on the inside. Our room was clean and well prepared; small like a typical European hotel room, but definitely big enough for two; and there were robes and slippers, an amenity that I really appreciate.

WiFi is included free, as is breakfast. There are courtyard areas that you can go and sit on and even a bocce court (you can check out the bocce set from the front desk). The hotel is close to lots of community soccer/football fields; grocery store and convenience stores; and to public transit as well. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train station and completely manageable. Staff were friendly and spoke English fluently, in case you don't know Swedish.

A short walk from Hotel Liseberg are the Gothia Towers (another hotel) and I recommend taking a walk there to go to the restaurant Heaven 23 - the view of sunset from the restaurant is wonderful and everyone gets the shrimps sandwiches - they are enormous!

Good central location. Comfortable room although limited wardrobe space/draws for clothes. I booked a business grandlit double room via booking.com. It stated the room had a view of the courtyard which was completely untrue. All you could see was the roof of the premises. There was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room which was rather disappointing but it was very clean. However, the bedrooms would benefit from air con as they got very warm despite outside temps only being about 20C and rather uncomfortable at night. The staff were very friendly and public areas very pleasant. Breakfast was very good with a large selection on offer both hot and cold. Just be aware that it can get very busy about 9am at weekends. Reasonable value for money although no hotels in Gothenburg are cheap.
