Hotel Pigalle is a newly renovated boutique hotel in one of the city's oldest houses and dates back to the 18th century. It's close to the train station and the shopping district. When you enter the reception area you find yourself in the middle of a trendy bar, which might confuse some new guests. The rooms are nicely decorated, individually furnished with antique furnishings, ornate wallpapers and chandeliers. However, if you arre used to and expect some space in your room, you should go for a Royale room. The Grande rooms are very small and the Petite rooms only have enough space for the bed itself. You might find this hotel more appropriate for younger people (we are in our 60ties). We found the trendy music coming from loudspeakers all over the hotel (also during breakfast) quite annoying.
