I chose this hotel for ease of access by car and because it was happy to accommodate my dog as well as myself. It's a modern hotel, in a converted dock/shipyard building. Parking was available in front of the hotel while I offloaded but then moved around the to the parking at the back of the hotel because it was cheaper - 35 SEK for 24 hours.

The room was spacious, with twin beds, two chairs, table, desk area as well as wardrobe space and drawers and the bathroom was fine too - though no hairdryer which was a surprising omission. Mini fridge in the room and a regular TV. We were very comfortable in there.

The room was quiet except you could hear doors banging occasionally - the doors to the room are heavy and swing shut behind with some force if you don't control them.

The breakfast was good, the usual fare, very fresh (very fresh bread particularly) and quite a lot of variety of cereals, fruit, breads, cheese, meats and hot dishes of egg and meats (no hot vegetables though - potatoes, mushrooms or beans), They had non-dairy milk alternatives (soya and lactose free 'milks') which was a very pleasant surprise.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and were happy to give advice about tourist activities - travel, sights to see, etc.

The locality in Eriksberg is quite nice, surrounded by apartments, little gardens, small shops, a nice walk along the waterfront and a few ships/yachts around. The ferry stop is a minute or two walk away. There is a mini-mart style store next to the hotel and further along Cafe Italia which had great hot sandwiches and excellent Italian pastries, also around were other pizzerias, cafes and a sushi place as well as a couple of bigger restaurants.

It was a good location for us as our focus was more on transiting through Gothenburg and wanting a dog friendly area. For a tourist wanting to be in the centre of town it's less convenient. You would have to take the ferry or drive into town or other public transport to get to the main attractions in town.

We stayed her during Gøteborgsvarvet in may 2012. The service is good, decent breakfast and the superior rooms are quit big with a nice view. The bathroom is very outdated, but a good bed and a balcony makes up for that.
The problem with this hotel is the location. You can take a boat into town and this is quit convenient. The bus also stops very close to the enterance. If there are no boats or busses or you don't have the patience to wait for one, taxi cots you aprox. 250 SEK one way.
If you don't mind using time on public transportation or a lot of money on taxi, this could be a good choice for you. If not, pick a place in the heart of Gøteborg.

Stayed two nights in July 2010. This must be one of the most remarkable hotels I ever stayed in. A former shipyard turned into a hotel. An extraordinary piece of architecture. There are still some features that create the sensation of being in the old docks. When you are there be sure to go to the gym on the top floor! Our room was way at the end of the corridor, a long long long walk from the elevator. The room was modern in every way and very comfortable. Excellent sleep quality. Breakfast on the other hand was not very good to say the least. Overcrowded, not very comfortable.
Location of the hotel is also the old docks site turned into a nice looking housing estate. It's outside Gothenborg centre, but the ferry stops in front of the hotel and takes you there in a few minutes. Would certainly recommend this hotel and/or go back when in the area.

The best and the only unique thing on this hotel is the fact that it used to be a shipyard and whoever did the reconstruction they did a nice and decent job. Both the exterior and the interior still give a feeling of an old dock including the original portal crane still standing in the building across several floors. Otherwise it is an ordinary hotel. I had a spacious twin-bed room with a small desk and a chair. The room was clean and tidy and the furniture looked like new. The bed was a bit soft for me, though. I appreciated free wi-fi Internet and the signal and speed was good.
The breakfast was standard choice of hot and cold food, but nothing exceptional for Sweden. As already mentioned below the hotel is across the river from the city center so it is not a good location if you plan some shopping or sightseeing, on the other hand it is very convenient if you are here to visit VOLVO Torslanda.
Generally this hotel offers good accommodation and a bit of old industrial atmosphere.

Nice hotel, nothing special, but good. Big comfortable room, practical if I would translate.
Area is nice, close to the cannal, nice to have a late afternoon walk. If you're with a car, very convenient. If not, you may consider if is the right one to stay. No restaurants close by, besides the ok one at the hotel. If you want to go downtown you should take a transport. If you are on tourism could be nice to take the ferry that crosses to downtown, otherwise no good at all. If you are on business on the area, can be very convenient. Hotel offers a shuttle in the morning for several companies.

I was at this hotel and conference centre for two nights, three days. The staff were very friendly and helpful and upgraded me to a deluxe room when there was an issue with my standard room. Even the standard rooms in this hotel are huge and well appointed. The deluxe rooms with separate living space and balconies, however, are of a different class! The only downside to my upgrade was that the shower in the standard room was actually much nicer than that in the deluxe room, which was a shame! However, the main thing I noticed about both rooms that I stayed in was that at night the hotel is silent. You can't hear traffic noise, you can't hear people in the halls, you can't hear your neighbour's TV and you can't hear the cleaners starting their shifts. This all makes for a very comfortable and peaceful nights rest.

I didn't have breakfast at the hotel but the lunch that was provided was fantastic. There was a huge amount of really good quality hot and cold food. In the conference centre across the road, the refreshments that were provided were equally high quality and the constant supply of free ice cream and popcorn made for a really nice treat!

One evening we ate in the hotel restaurant, which was great. They served delicious and good quality food with really friendly staff.

Although I stayed here on business, I would also strongly recommend this hotel as a base for leisure travellers exploring the city.
