There is so much to criticise here, so I will list things in chronological order:
Upon arriving on a quiet Monday night with a work colleague, was offered a table at the back of the room, in between tables of uncleared away dirty plates- looked like they'd been there for a while. We politely refused sat in the middle of the room instead- the waiter remained sitting at the back of the restaurant playing on his iPhone. When we eventually got some menus, we were just asked what we wanted for our main courses- we asked if we could have poppadoms as well and reluctantly the waiter agreed.
I asked what beers they had available and was told that the premises no longer had a licence! However we could order lower strength beer if we wanted instead, as they had some cans 'under the bar'. He then proceeded to crack open one can of Carlsberg discretely and bring it over to the table. "Sorry we've no more of this left, can one of you have a different beer?" said the waiter as he came over. So it was now a bottle of Corona that also came from the carrier bag under the bar next!
Next to arrive were the Poppadoms- sorry I mean, the 2 poppadoms!! That's right, we were treated to 2 microwave poppadoms for a starter!
The main courses both looked very similar- both chicken and both in the same watery mild sauce. And both with exactly 4 pieces of chicken with no vegetables to pad out the rest of the dish. Maybe it's a Swedish preference, but each was also very salty as well. Maybe it's a rouse to get customers to buy more beers from the carrier bag under the counter??
However I'll leave the best dish of all to describe till last- peshwari naan with...... Glacé Cherries!!
Never before and hopefully never again will I eat such an Indian culinary disaster. The beers by the way (yes those ones from the carrier bag) cost us £6 each.
My recommendation is that you avoid this place at all costs- unless you like salty, mild curries and warm beer. Also it is the first curry restaurant that I've left and still felt hungry afterwards!
