This great hotel is well located while avoiding the busy bar and restaurant scene in the heart of town. Easy to walk to the shopping streets. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but the morning buffet is nice, and drinks are available 24/7. Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are cool as they are all different with old tile stove in ours! Modern and old at the same time.

Room Tip: You have to request the rooms with bathtubs.

A very pleasant hotel located in a quiet residential area of the city, a 10 minute walk from the downtown area, and a 5 minute walk from the train station.

Very nice rooms, large, well appointed, comfortable. Pleasant, well-trained and helpful employees. Free secure parking for motorcycles in the indoor courtyard. No air conditioning, but the neighborhood is quiet enough to allow one to sleep with the windows open.

My only criticism is of the breakfast. The "powdered eggs" are awful and just don't belong in a hotel of this quality. It would also be nice if the breakfast buffet offered some items such as croissants or sweet pastries to cater to the preferences of the non-Swedish guests. Many of the Swedish breads appear to be more like building materials than food items, although I note that the Swedish guests were wolfing them down with great gusto.

All in all, an excellent hotel to which I would gladly return or refer friends to.

Room Tip: All rooms are different in this 1912 building, ask to see your room before unpacking.

I enjoyed this hotel, which is in a very good location if you arrive in Halmstad by train. It is also a short 10-15 minute walk in to the central shopping district.
The room was very fine, and was very clean and comfortable. The shower in my room was really nice, so I have to disagree with a previous reviewer on this point.
I also agree with another reviewer on the breakfast, which didn't seem great. The choice wasn't so extensive, and the juice was really unpleasant.
However it is in a quiet neighbourhood, with friendly service and has a really good "feel" about the hotel.
I would stay here again, but might eat breakfast elsewhere.

Stayed one night at this hotel with my spouse and checked in rather late in the evening. Got an upgrade and stayed in an executive room, it was a high ceiling, very spacious and a nice couch. The floor was a bit worn down, and the bathroom was not anything special - but the feeling of the room was overall very good.

The breakfast was good, I miss having real scrambled eggs, not the powdery stuff that most hotels have, but nice fruits, fresh smoothies, good coffeee, very fresh bread and more that an average hotel breakfast by my views.

If you are going to Halmstad, stay here.

Room Tip: 309 - an executive room

I decided to surprise a friend of mine and my choice fell upon this little hotel in Halmstad. I found a nice deal on their webpage, including overnight stay, 2-course dinner, spa with treatment/massage and breakfast.

We arrived around lunchtime and got our room fairly quickly, the receptionist apparently had more then one chore to do and was busy setting things up, but things went ok and without a hassle. We got a lovely room on the second floor, the room itself was fantastic but the toilet/shower was probably one of the worst ones I have ever encountered in a hotel. Amenities were really nice tho and so were the linen/towels/bath robes. There was even a small teddy on our bed, such a sweet little detail.

Treatment at the hotel spa was amazing, the spa itself left a bit to wish for, work being done outside ruined the outdoor Jacuzzi and inside there was merely a sauna and relaxing beds while waiting for your turn. Hot stone massage was really good and I would definitely recommend it.

The breakfast was really nice, a bit small for a hotel buffet breakfast but at the same time more than enough and lots to chose from, great coffee and kind of a "homey", intimate feeling that made you feel right at home.

I would love to go back, it was an amazing relaxing experience and the staff were so helpful with everything. Its central but at the same time in a quiet location with lots of peace and quiet.

Stayed at this hotel for one night in preparation for a customer meeting on the following day.

First impressions were very good. I was greeted by a very effective and friendly staff, got my things sortet out in a whiff, room was big, bright, clean and quiet. Modern furniture mixed with antiques (and for some reason some african art and sculptures). Very nice indeed.

Sleep quality was really good (lots of pillows to choose from and a nice mattress). Used the (very basic) fitness room - it was just ok with some basic exercise equipment.

Breakfast appears not to be the strong side of this hotel. It is basic - what you expect - and just ok. Quality of the scrambled eggs left something to wish for.

The hotel is very close to the central station and a 5 minute walk from the city centre. Thus an almost perfect location in a quiet part of the city.

Great location just moments from the station and about 5 minutes from the town centre. Thoughtfully designed rooms with great facilities, even a teddy bear on the bed (but certainly still classy, not tacky).
