“wrongly priced”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

The price range for Dwell Café is wrong, it's not as expensive as it says (500-1.000 sek). It's around 90 for a lunch, which is perfectly normal. They also have a dinner buffet which is price worthy.

My favourite place for lunch in Uppsala! Splendid food and a very nice staff. You always get that nice smile you need so badly especially now in winter.
I guess there is a mistake regarding the prices mentioned here in tripadvisor. I guess it should be SEK instead of $...

“Highly praised and recommended”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

Uppsala has taken yet another step towards being cosmopolitan and can since a year back boast of a 1st class Sri Lankan lunch place. Lunches are serious business for Swedes. Most of them reserve 60 min for lunch and eat and rest well.

Dwell Cafe, just opposite Uppsala's concert hall - visitors: enjoy the great 360 degree view of the city from the upper floor of the concert hall, an architecture-wise interesting building well worth a visit, and it is free!) - offers a standard cafe menu (not bad), but during lunch hours turns into a genuine Sri Lankan restaurant offering a 85 kroner buffet (which is cheap for Sweden) with a variety of vegetarian and non- vegetarian dishes. Pity we eat with knife and fork in Sweden. The dishes are so delicious that I want to suck my fingers in order to get all the fine flavours and spices, just like people do in Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan proprietor told me he cooks "with 50-60 %" of the spiciness compared to home - but for us it is vicious and exotic enough. If you wish it hotter I am sure he will kindly assist your craving.
The Dwell has become highly praised locally, and right so. I recommend it "hotly"!
