Based on the recommendation here and from our hotel receptionist we visited on a Wednesday evening, it was fairly busy. The menu lived up to the American Asian fusion tag Amasian! The service was helpful but compared to what we are normally used to a little slower than normal, this may just be how things are done, it wasn't slow as such just not as snappy as you get in other places we certainly were not rushed. Te food presentation was excellent and the flavours well managed. All in all a good experience food wise if you can afford it!

This a restaurant that makes my tastebuds dance.
Last time I went there I had a the drink Wasabi martini and my friend had an Enter the dragon. Both where great!

I recommend the starters combo platter which is the best thing about the whole meal. The food is a mix of American and Asian food or AmAsian as they call it.

They change the menu quite often. At least two times a year. So it is nice to go back there to check out what has happened when the menu changes.

The service is good. Nothing special there I think.

The only thing I could complain about is that the desserts are pretty plain.
But it is the best restaurant I have ever been to. In a regular restaurant the food can be well made but here it is well made and exciting.

Dry martini straight out of Bartending 101 - which is more than can be said for most restaurants or bars in Uppsala.
I had the starter combo platter, which was very good and the tenderloin/lobster surf and turf which was impeccable.
The dessert: "Jungle Boogie" was surprisingly anonymous and in retrospect I probably should have had something else - but what can I say... I'm a sucker for pineapple.
The lack of a hostess and our waiter going out for a smoke between our first and second course (yes I'm a neo-uptight s.o.b.) was confusing and slightly annoying, but despite this Jay Fu's is probably top 3 and definitely top 5 in both food and service in Uppsala.

I went to Jay Fu's on a Friday evening and manage to get a seat at the bar without a reservation. The place quickly filled and I would recommend booking if you want to ensure yourself a place.
The location is great overlooking the “river” fro the top of Saluhallen. The décor was modern and interesting and the atmosphere pleasant with a nice hum coming from the patrons.
I started with a well made Mojito, then moved on to the suggest red from the bar tender, his first suggestion a pinot from New Zealand was too light but the second was a cabernet from the Napper Valley was very good. There were several wines by the glass.
Entre was steaming lobster with lobster wantons; a very good base produces a tasty soup without being overpowering, a nice balance.
The main was Entrecote which was well cook with a variety of vegetables and nicely cooked chips.
Overall I had a very pleasant night which I would recommend Jay Fu’s to all for that special night out.
As usual with Sweden if it is good it is not cheap!
