Take any one of the steep cobbled streets up from the Zemun waterfront and you will reach Gardos. The views make it well worthwhile - you can appreciate the great defensive value both of this spot and of Belgrade itself.

Gardos is located in the old part of Zemun. It has one of the most amazing views I have ever seen in my life. You can come with friends or your loved one, anyway you will have great time. Definatley a "must see" while in Belgrade!

While genereally the food in Belgrade is great, the food here was outstanding! And the service was great, too.

gardos is a beautifully colourful, hilly part of Zemun, on the Danube bank with small old houses, cobbled streets, interesting cafes and restaurants, and of course the Sibinjanin Janko tower on the hilltop, where we enjoyed the view over Zemun and Danube

We caught the 83 bus from bus station in Belgrade out to Zemun and walked up to the tower. Fantastic views over Zemun, the Danube river and looking back towards Belgrade. Great trip out of the city but make sure you validate your bus ticket as the Serbian ticket inspectors do not suffer fools easily.
