The walls of this restaurant are glass, so that in every direction the diner is looking out on the greenest of green parkland. The menu contains classic Swedish fare as well as continental dishes. The linen, the waitress uniforms and demeanor, the table bread, the china, these all fit marvelously together into a calm not too formal elegance that is Sweden at its best. My wife and both went for classic Swedish, meatballs for her and fried herring for me. Both were accompanied with very smooth mashed potatoes plus a something in it we could not identify but definitely welcomed. Prices are medium for Sweden, ranging from about $20 to $40. The relaxation factor is worth another $500, but they don't charge extra for that.

It is nice to sit outside and have some of the traditional Swedish dishes as meat balls, fried herring and mutton with dill sauce. That is what we had. The meat balls were tasty and many. the mutton was appreciated and generously served. The fried herrings were small and too much fried to be on top. However, when we ordered coffee and the waitress served it we were astonished. She served the male part first and when she finally should serve the lady she did it over one of the other guests and looking away when she served the coffee! I think that it is time to teach the waitresses how to behave.

Our first visit to Sweden and were taken to this beautiful restaurant for a traditional dinner. The food was wonderful, the service very good, the table wear lovely. In fact I could not find anything not to like. It was a cold night. Cloak room for coats. Would be a spectacular place to have lunch in the warmer weather. Dozens of pots of purple and yellow pansies surrounding an outdoor eating area. I would strongly recommend this restaurant.

Sit outside, if you can. And, at least for a foreigner, the lunch in the garden of Ulla Windbladh's is as swedish as ABBA and IKEA. There's is probably nothing more enjoyable than a Swedish summer's day with fine food, a good drink and happy people around you.

And there's is a good chance that you experience a lot of that at this restaurant.

The menu looks classy, the dishes appear traditionally Swedish and the prices are in the upper segment. As soon as you sit, you get iced water, which is nice under the hot sun.

The mostly male waiters are friendly, but not exactly exuberant. They are not the most attentive and quickest, but if they "do" something, then they do it correctly. The service is OK, but not THE asset of this restaurant.

As soon as you get your dishes, the sky brightens up even more. My friend had salmon and I chose the vegetarian menu of the day. And this was really a tasty springtime surprise. Asparagus and barley, carrots and fennel, along with hazelnut and mayonnaise - perfectly blended together as if they always belonged to each other. The salmon with potatoes was a joy, too.

We did not have time to taste any sweets, but a pot of coffee was the surprise at the end. The taste was exceptionally good, far away from the usual industrial coffee experience.

All in all a happy visit, especially on this pre-summer sun-day.

The place has a lot of history in the walls. The menu too. And it is very good. We enjoyed everything we ordered, we were 10 and had many different choices.
Good service too.
