Just around the corner from Lo Scudetto - which is a great restaurant - and sharing the same kitchen is the Osteria. Its predominately a pizza based menu but with great Italian classics such as Ossabuco. The decor is novel - a ceiling constructed of wine bottles! - and the service is real family style. A good choice of wines, but I can recommend the house red. We've been using this restaurant and it's big brother Lo Scudetto for a long time and it is really long overdue for a review. We have never had less than good food and a great evening. I really recommend it.

I had dinner at Lo Scudetto with my wife and 2 friends. The service was very slow and unattentive. We were not greeted by anyone when arriving in spite of several waiters zooming around. We had a reservation, but arrived early, so we sat in the bar for a while after one of the waitresses finally decided to pay attention to us. After a while one of the waiters came and took drink orders, and gave us the menus. From then on the service level improved a bit. The food was quite good, but nothing to write home about. I did go there for dinner with my wife a few months ago and at that time the service and food was much better. The location of the restaurant is quite good in one of the fashionable residential areas of Stockholm. It's easily accessible by public transport or by taxi.

We had prebooked a table for a group of friends. We were asked to preorder food, which is ok. Everything on the menue was tempting. Arriving, everything seemed fine. The venue is nice, bistro style, The cloak room was miniscule which is a bad thing in Sweden in december where everybody walks around in big coats and feather jackets. It was completely full so we could not hang our coats. The waiter seemed completely uninterested in making the evening special to us - he just wanted to deliver what we had already ordered. Considering the relatively high price I had expected more of an effort. The food was in line with what you can expect, no surprises. Strangely enough, the place got really empty quite early, and then it seemed like the waiter wanted us to leave, too. Next time I'll choose another place.

Lo Scudetto has two restaurants next to each other. One is pricey and one is a dark pizzeria. We felt we just wanted something simple, so pizza sounded right. And pizza was surprisingly good, and big, but the restaurant dark and gloomy. It seems like this place last had a makeover in 1975. The seating, I mean the chairs and the booth seating, were also really uncomfortable, so this is not the right place for longer meal. But, the pizza was good.
