I'm usually not picky at all at restaurants and I have never complained when food has come out. But our experience at Indian inn was truly terrible. We waited for over an hour for our starters to come out, we ordered onion vadji and vegetable samosas. The samosas came out and were actually deep fried spring rolls with noodles inside, and still frozen cold in the middle. They were quite frankly, disgusting.
We then had to wait another half hour for our mains. No one explained why it was taking so long, and several tables that go in after us got their food before us. We ordered vegetable dosas. They were terrible. The pancake was heavy and chewy and the curry was a gooey mush on the inside made quite clearly with frozen veg and without any attention to detail. We couldn't even finish the mains.
We complained about the food, but was met with terrible service. The staff said that its hard to make the dish outside of India, but if it is terrible - dont put it on the menu and definately don't serve it. The staff said we didnt have to pay for the "samosas" but insisted that we paid full price for the rest of the meal.
I've never written a bad review of a restaurant before but i think our visit at Indian inn tonight was below all standards. I only hope they pick up their act. But I certainly will never be back- the staff made sure of that.
