When in Stockholm and in search of fine dining, this restaurant should be one of your first options (especially since lux changed their strategy).
It is conveniently located in the center of the city, literally a stone's throw away from the Sheraton hotel and about 500 m from the central station.
I've been there now 7 or 8 times and have never been disappointed. This time was no exception.
They have a tasting menu that changes every month. It is typical French cuisine with a toch of the Swedish traditional kitchen (at least this time). The wines are extraordinary, congratulations to the sommelier who knows what he/she is doing. This restaurant learnt me to appreciate the German and Austrian Riesling wines of which they must have a huge selection.
To get a feel of a typical tasting menu, see the attached picture of the menu. Everything was just delicious ; not one dissonance!
It's not cheap but knowing that alcoholic drinks in Sweden are very expensive, the overall cost of a tasting menu with accompanying wines, aperitif and coffee remains acceptable. It will make you around 5000 SEK lighter.
And the lady who served us was very kind and extremely helpful.
To end with a nice annecdote : the name of the restaurant comes from its address : Fredsgatan 12 (hence F12). However is a few years, the entrance is not in that street anymore but moved to Rödbodtorget 2 (just around the corner).
