We visited this place a few years ago, and we were completely blown away at its beauty!

The museum contains a huge room designed to look just like a natural rain forest. The air is extremely humid and hot, the lights are dim, just like it would be at dawn, huge fish are swimming in the “lake”, monkeys and birds twitter from the jungle trees and all of a sudden, it starts to rain! You have to hurry to safety under a small hut, and wait a couple of minutes until the rain stops. You can then exit the jungle by walking across a very natural looking, and rickety rackety bridge. You truly get the experience of being in the Amazon rain forest!

A part from this “jungle room” the museum has loads of huge fish tanks were you can look at everything from jelly fish to big sharks. One of the tanks has a transparent tunnel under it, so that you can climb in and feel like you’re under water.

The museum also offers a gift shop and a nice café overlooking the water.

We had a really great time her and we can recommend it howl heartedly! (^_^)

I was higly disappointed with this aquarium and would not reccomend it at all. Luckily i did not have to pay as I had a Stockholm card. it is not cheap. In some of the tanks I could see no fish and twice I tripped over on uneven paths. I also managed to get a nice bruise on my shin walking into a low bench that was in a dark room. I did the whole museum in less than 30mins and learnt nothing. I found the rainforest section small and saw very little. There are much better aquariums in the world.

I find the rainforest part was quite special as compared to the typical aquaria. It is kinda fun to just walk through the 'small' rainforest and the rest of the aquaria is just alright?

If you happen to be close and have an hour or two to kill, sure then why not pay them a visit but to be honest there's nothing much to see here and during the summer vacation period this place is usually very crowded!
