This newish hotel is located in an old building, which means that the rooms are a bit quirky. All decorated in a similar Gustavian decor, meaning pearly grey furniture and checkered textiles on the furniture, they vary very much in size, but not in coziness.
Located on a quiet street very close to department store Nordiska Kompaniet , Gallerian shopping centre and Sergels torg, you will return for your next visit, I promise. I return every time I travel to Stockholm for business. Fabulous breakfast selection, extremely friendly staff and also a quirky drinks selection.

The only negative thing about this hotel is the room I chose was very, very small. I’m sure if I’d paid for a larger room, it wouldn’t be as bad.

But that’s it for the negatives.

Check in was painless and quick, but the woman checking us in was very helpful with questions we were firing at her.

The hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance of a large mall and other street stores, a park and several restaurants. If you walk about 1/2 mile, you’ll end up at the waterfront with a lot of outdoor cafes.

The AC worked great in the room and the shower pressure was good. The heated floors in the bathroom were a nice surprise. The bathrobes were soft, there were lots of towels (bring your own washcloth).

There’s a mini bar and a safe in the closet. The bed, two twins pushed together, were very comfortable.

The staff in the restaurant were especially helpful, as was housekeeping. Shout out especially to my housekeeper the first day whose name I don’t know, but she having a birthday the next day. She was really nice.

There are a couple of public rooms that were nice. We sat there in the afternoon and had drinks.

I will definitely stay here again when I return to Stockholm.

Dear 573feliciad,

First of all thank you for taking the time to write about your experience from staying with us, we are truly happy to read that you enjoyed your stay, our location, the beds and the surprise bathroom floor heating.

We do have rooms on the smaller side, as you mention, and try carefully to be honest about room sizes and categories on our webpage. We thank you for stating that had you chosen a larger room category the room would have not been as small. Our King and Queen Superior rooms do have more floor space and comfortable seating areas as the smaller categories do not.

We thank you for mentioning our housekeeping, we will let them know they did a great job during your stay!

We look forward to welcome your back to us for your next trip to Stockholm.

Best regards,
Julia Landmark Clark

We loved everything about this hotel. It's charming, has a really cool and quite unusual atrium, has authentic 'vintage' rooms that are nevertheless very comfortable and, most of all, is staffed by an exceptionally caring team. Breakfast, although buffet in style, is honestly one of the best we have ever had in any hotel anywhere, with an incredibly wide choice of food. In fact just writing about it now is making my mouth water!

Location was also great, an easy walk to many of the major attractions and to the ferry to cross the harbour to get to the others (e.g. Vassa, Tivoli, ABBA museum).

Brilliant front of house team. Linus in particular was excellent, but so were all of his colleagues. Everyone was cheerful and helpful.

If you like boutique hotels, or just those that are a little bit different in style and flavour, this surely won't disappoint. Unhesitatingly recommended and we would definitely stay there again when returning to Stockholm!

Room tip: Our room looked down to the park, where a festival was going on all day. A bit noisy - not sure how often this happens.

Although I was travelling with friends I stayed alone at the Kungsträtgården. I picked this hotel as it was near to the Opera House, the focus of my stay. I was not able to book very well in advance so the price was higher than it might have been on the hotel's website which varies as they get booked up.
I loved everything about this well located hotel. I had a single room which, admittedly, was very small but it had just about everything I could possibly want! The bed was a large single and one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in! The bathroom was very well appointed with a fab shower. Tucked away in one side of the wardrobe arrangement was the minibar, safe and tea and coffee facilities. There was even an iron and ironing board. Small room but very well thought out and very quiet while I was there.
The buffet style breakfast offered everything you could think of and was very good.
What I really loved was the laid back atmosphere and the friendly, helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble and they even stored mine AND my friends' bags after check out. My friends weren't even staying there! I would have no hesitation in coming back to the Kungsträtgården.

Room tip: Book as early as possible on the hotel website and the rate will vary. Get a larger room for less.

My husband and I visited Stockholm for the first time this summer. We booked this beautiful small hotel with location in mind; close to shopping, the tour boats, the Kings Garden, Museums...and were even more impressed by the staff! The concierge booked our boat tour for us and a delicious "Swedish" breakfast greeted us every morning, Excellent!

Room tip: Rooms on the 3rd floor, with its high ceilings and interior balcony
