Dear Foncho11,
Thank you for taking your time to write your review.
As we all know, staying in hotels is a lot about expectations and how well the property lives up to them. We have managed to become #3 (#2 for quite some time, as well) by doing our best to live up to our guests expectations and also by being honest about our hotel, our product.
One of these product aspects is that several of our rooms are small, some really small, and hence we call one category "Small Double room". This way, we try not to give the wrong expectations, and it has worked rather well; many of our guests who have booked this category have been well aware of that the rooms are small.
We are also very thorough to explain the room size on our website.
The building our hotel is housed in dates back to 1764 and it's listed as cultural landmark. This means the developers had to adhere to strict building code when renovating it from office to hotel (e.g. walls cannot be moved or removed, only added). So comparing it to a hotel that was built in either the 1970's or early 2000's, using a modern module system, is actually rather unfair.
But what really intrigues me is that you purposely booked a small room in a hotel that has notoriously small rooms, and that you then were disappointed that you had a small room.
In any case, we would of course love to have you come stay with us again and perhaps have you reconsider your previous strategy, and perhaps book one our Queen Superior or King Deluxe rooms?
Sincerely,
Adam von Mentzer
