Lovely cafe places to sit and watch people. In the middle of Gamla Stan, hard to miss. A. It touristy ... but even so, well worth the quick walk (especially if you are going to visit the Royal Castle).

Nice square, it's the door entrance to the city center. Thanks to the comments read here, we avoided the Italian restaurant (too much criticism is key) and found another one, not very far from there. It's the typical touristic venue, ideal to work as the basis of your city center's trip.

The square is very well preserved, and the buildings on it give it a nice character. The Nobel Museum actually is a bit distracting (but turn your back to it and you can feel like you stepped back in time)

we asked for penne arrabiata and were charged for spaghetti bolognese! The soft drink as previous poster mentioned was a glass quarter filled with Pepsi and the rest was ice cubs and they charged a whopping 78 Swedish krona. There other cheaper places and nicer places that you can dine in.

The Italian restaurant here made us pay for sharing a pizza. We ordered 1 big pizza. And 2 of us ate it. They say we need to pay 70kroners extra because we shared it. They did not tell us this before. And i have never come across this policy anywhere else. Only for Rajasthani thali in India sharing is not allowed and in buffet off course . BEWARE.
