We booked a table after seeing that it was ranked as the top tapas bar in Stockholm at Tripadvisor. My SO and I have been to some fantastic tapas restaurants in other European cities following Tripadvisor´s rankings (Volver, Berlin among others), but this time it let us down.
The reservation was a smooth process and at the restaurant a welcoming waiter showed us to the table. The restaurant´s atmosphere was held up by the energetic waiter, not really grasping the spanish feeling as it might have intended to. Our drinks and food came within a decent time frame, but that is also when we realized that we should not trust Tripadvisor blindly.
The food was nothing more than average. The ingredients lacked freshness, edge and inspiration. Quite a boring meal to be honest. The albondigas was flat were it should be spicy, the aioli seemed to lack garlic, and the Manchego weak. The best dish was the fried potatoes, which is kind of sad, really. Probably a nice place to take your family out for dinner, if you want something safe. Although, if you´re seeking a new exciting food experience, we will not recommend this place.
