I stayed at this hotel for one night when I was in Stockholm. It is nice hotel with a excellent location. It also has a good price. There a lot of shops and restaurants in the area. I rellay enjoyed my stay there and would recommend it to everybody.

As other reviews have pointed out, every room was underground and they are all very very very small. Other than for sleeping, my room was very very uncomfortable to stay in.

So, why mixed? The location was perfect and I happened to be coming in from the west coast of the US in June meaning that since the rooms had no windows the room was completely dark all the time which made it very easy to deal with jet lag.

The entrance is a coffee shop which is quite confusing.

The free Internet never worked for the entire time I was there. However, I did receive coupons for a paid service when I complained.

The location is superb! From where we were, all we have to do is walk down towards the water. You will walk pass many shops, boutiques and head towards Stockholm's Gamla Stan. Beautiful city with gorgeous skyline.

It's weird to check into Wayne Coffee at the cash register but the staff is prompt and friendly. So, if you are not too particular with the typical hotel setting, then this will not pose as a problem.

We got the Exec room with the jacuzzi. That was fun and the room is large enough. We also appreciate that there are English tv channels available.

Wifi is stronger in the room compared to sitting at Wayne Coffee.

Overall, it's a good place to stay for those who can are up for a tad of unique experience. Plus point is, you will always have great coffee available!

Very good location, it is located in the middle of the commercial district, with lots of stores, delis and restaurants. Two blocks away from the (T) Metro Station and the main train station (J). Also 10 minutes away from the old town and major sightseeing places. The hotel reception is inside the coffee shop. So your Receptionist is also an attendant for the coffee shop. Which for me its totally fine, due to the price we payed for a great location. The rooms are underground and tiny, with a bunk bed and a private bathroom. Clean and organized. The breakfast was included. The staff is friendly. At night the room could get a little noisy, because the restaurant on the top of our room had the staff move chairs to clean the floor. Overall a budget friendly place to stay in a great location. Couldn't find a restaurant open on a Sunday past 21:00, So we ate next to the hotel in the Restaurang Drottninggården AB, which was very good but very pricey and trendy.

ALL of the rooms are in the basement. So, you get no windows, tight quarters, and no public spaces.

That being said, if you know what you are getting into you can have quite a nice stay.

The entrance is a Wayne's Coffee, just tell the barista that you are checking in. You will pay at the coffee kiosk, and they will give you a slip with that evening's door code for your room and the front door of the cafe. You will take the stairs down to the basement, where your code will unlock your door. Don't be afraid to ask them if you need help unlocking the door the first time--this is not a normal hotel room system, so I would imagine they expect people to be unfamiliar with it.

The rooms are small, even by Scandinavian standards, but quite clean (the hotel is brand new). Standard rooms offer twin bunkbeds, full bath (which is, surprisingly, no smaller than any other bathroom I have seen in Scandinavia), a small table, a built-in armoire, and a flat screen tv mounted to the wall.

Being in the basement, the rooms are very quiet. Moreover, you are LITERALLY on Drottninggatan. You would expect to pay 200+ USD per night for a hotel with this prime location. This hotel offers you this location for a third of that.

I arrived from Arlanda at 8pm, and didn't want to take my train out of Stockholm that late, so I stayed here. No problem. Quick check-in, dropped my bags, popped back up to the street level for something to eat, then back in to bed. I woke up the next morning refreshed in time to take the 10min walk back to Stockholm C for the next train out of the city. You can't beat that convenience for the money. (I also found the lack of windows really useful for fighting jetlag.)

My advice is:
If you have saved your whole life to take your partner on a once in a lifetime trip to Stockholm, stay elsewhere for a more decadent experience. However, if you just need a clean, cheap home base for a day or two--and you want to stay central--this is a good bet.

Room Tip: For a few more kronor, you can spring for a deluxe room, which provides a larger room than I can nor...

Rooms are all located under the street level. So, do not expect for any views, since there are no windows. Rooms are really, really small. They are more like really small cabins on board - but if you look only something to sleep in, they are worth the money.

I slept there one night with my colleague and really, you barely fit there with another person. But you fit - and for a small price. The cafeteria, where you will have the breakfast, is also extremely small. Everything is small in this hotel...

Room Tip: They are all under the street level. Choose a suite, they have a jacuzzi (I've heard).

Very difficult to find. The entrance is in a kind of coffee shop. It is not professional at all. I check in, asked where my room is: downstairs in the dungeon. (all rooms are there) The keycode to open my door did not work. Finally I entered the room, it was a cell, two meters wide, 3 meters long with a bunk bed. The bathroom was 2 by 1 meter: shower. Underground, no daylight. It felt like a prison. Ok, one thing positive: it was clean.
No room to put your stuff, no table with a chair to do some work.
Terrible experience. As a business person, you can find much better in Stockholm.
