“Modern style & clean comfort”
Reviewed December 19, 2012

We were in Stockholm for a conference and stayed at the Clarion for four nights. Our room was well designed and stylish. The bed was warm and comfortable. The staff was very helpful. However, the internet connection was awful. We needed to get some work done, but couldn't as the internet connection kept being dropped. This was very frustrating and needs to be fixed. Professional people need to be able to work online while traveling.

I can safely say that Stockholm is one of the best city breaks that i have had to date and this was only heightened by the Clarion Hotel. The rooms, although small are perfect formed. The have wet room en suites big enough for two and very comfy clean beds. But let's face it when you go for a city break you don't spend much time in your room and with this in mind the room was perfect!.

The hotel is immaculate throughout! And the numerous art installations gives the Clarion a sense of character and personality that a lot of faceless chain hotels lack.

The hotel has an incredible spa that is just what you need to relax after the 6 hours or so of traveling. And the pool at the top of the hotel give you some great views of Stockholm especially when the sun is rising.

We stayed at Clarion hotel Stockholm for 4 nights in december 2012 while getting married in Stockholm, The hotel is modern and the rooms are large, and clean. The breakfast included a wide selection of warm and cold selections, and they have a stand in the restaurant on weekdays were a staff member make the omelette of your choice. The pancakes were also very tasty, and they have a large buffet with fruits.
The common areas in the reception area have modern furniture, and are great for meeting people or just relaxing.
During our wedding day and night we stayed at the Södersuite, a large two storey suite with great views and a huge bathub in the bedroom - awesome!

Room Tip: Ask for the Södersuite for special occacions!

This was our second stay in Clarion Hotel at Ringvagen and certainly there will be more next times we come to Stockholm.
The hotel has everything you need plus highly professional staff and beautiful design of interior. There are even art exhibitions being displayed downstairs to entertain you while waiting for somebody or relaxing in the evening. The location is in "Soder" or SoFo - best district of the city in terms of modern design, fashion, small restaurants and cafes. Additionally there is Hemkopp - big grocery store in 100 steps from the hotel entrance.
The price for the rooms seemed to be somewhat average for Sweden and to my knowledge it is the best possible match of price and quality in accommodation. Especially when compared to hotels in such places as Kista. By the way there is free shuttle to Kista in case you need to go there for work every morning.
To be honest we never had time to try out the facilities such as spa and gym, so no comment there.
The breakfasts are just superior, everything is tasty and fresh like it should be in Scandinavia.
Membership in Nordic Choice Hotels chain give you additional compliments from hotel which is nothing special but pleasant anyways.
Drawbacks: a) too far from the Old Town (however, you can rent a city bike close to hotel and it will take you 7 min to ride to Gamla Stan; alternatively, 4 stops by T-bana which is situated 2 min walk from the hotel); b) strange Internet connection...you need to get some passwords on daily basis, connection breaks and the quality is quite poor. Personally, I don't understand why the hotel does not want to improve Wi-Fi connection quality and simplify access. Should not be that costly!

Room Tip: 6035 or alike are better rooms in terms of noise level since being located in angle and thus having...

This hotel has style. Although the rooms are small, they are organized like a ship - everything has its place. They offer a fantastic breakfast which is included. The beds are great and afforded me one of the most refreshing sleeps I have ever had at a hotel. The wifi was free and very fast. The lobby area serves as a lounge and is a fun area to relax and have a drink.

This hotel does exactly what it ought to, and not much more. But the service is great, the breakfast is good and the rooms are comfortable. The bar in the lobby closes a little early though, and there's occasionally a queue for check out. But I've stayed here a few times now and I don't see any need to look for somewhere else, which says it all really.

Stayed at this hotel one weekend and was satisfied but not overwhelmed. You can see that it is a big hotel (around 500 rooms) when you enter the reception area, which contains 2 bars / restaurants. The check-in and later the check-out procedure went smoothly, however. The room was nicely furnished but rather small. We had problems where to put our two suitcases without blocking the whole room. Everything was very clean and in good order, though. The room was very quiet, probably because it was situated towards the back of the hotel and far from the lifts. The breakfast was a rather stressful experience, because all guests seemed to have their breakfast at the same time (around 9 o'clock). The breakfast buffet contained everything you need to get a good start of the day, but on the other hand, there were no positive surprises either. On the whole, this is an average good hotel without any surprises, neither positive nor negative.
