This was a fabulous looking museum from the outside and good from the inside, it showed all about Swedish life from early days to now, from toys, to interiors, fashion, décor, interiors etc however the whole top floor was closed and could not be visited which was disappointing. We had the Stockholm card so it was free in.

This is a life style museum and could be boring if you are not into dresses, toys, house ornaments etc...

Building itself is very nice and its architecture interesting.

We went sure what exactly to expect in this museum but it turned into a very interesting learning experience. The exhibits gave insight looks into Sweden's past.
Worth a visit even if it's just to get out of the cold rain.

I won't say it is my favourite museum in Stockholm. but it gives you a good view to the Swedish culture in terms of daily life, traditions etc. also I was really amazed by the exhibition about Sami.
I definitely recommend this museum in case you stay in Stockholm more than 3-4 days. Otherwise it won't be on my priority list of city's attractions. Just to review the beautiful building will be enough:-)

Nordic Museum is a misnomen. This museum showcases Swedish social history at it's best! The exhibitions gave a fantastic insight into life in Sweden over the past centuries. I particularly appreciated the table settings through the centuries. The audio tour was excellent however I could not understand why the written information was not consistently in both Swedish and English. I would absolutely recommend a vist here for people of all ages. There were a lot of families visiting on New Year's Day. The children were fascinated by the 25 minute film of people dressing in the clothes of earlier ages. They were right; it was fascinating.

My only disappointment was the cafe which was understaffed. The cafe was not busy but the team was struggling to put out food and drink orders and this caused some tensions between staff and staff and customeers and staff which made me feel uncomfortable.
