This hotel has a great location but is otherwise a ghastly place to stay. The rooms are like those of a student hostel. The breakfast food is inedible and there was no internet available. The wireless did not work and, though they said I should have phone access, they couldn't get it working the entire 4 days. Stay anywhere but here!

Wonderful little gem of a hotel, situated in a great location and with amazing staff. Room was large with a nice bathroom, comfy beds and large windows to let in the cool summer-night breeze. Only issue was the lack of air conditioning, but that's to be expected in Western Europe and Scandinavia, although our room got devilishly hot during the day.

The hotel is in a very convenient and pleasant part of town, within 10 minutes' walk of the central station but not so close in that it feels impersonal. My single room in this hotel is the smallest one I have ever stayed in, I think, that still had an en suite bath. I have traveled all over southern Europe, and have stayed in a lot of small places so I expected it to be tight, but wow, it exceeded expeectations in that department.

Because the walls are concrete, it's quiet, but it hurts when you whack into a wall with your knee in the night! Half a meter either way would have made a nice difference in the room. There was a support pillar in the tiny shower (all tiled over, nice looking) but it made shaving my legs a real challenge. The water was hot and pressure was plentiful, though. The room was very clean, bedding comfortable and towels good. Bath amenities sufficient, but I don't know why people use that scratchy toilet paper - I found it everywhere in Sweden. The clean floors in the room and the hallway are wood and they are older, so you hear loud creaking as people walk by later at night or early in the morning (I recommend earplugs for that).

The staff is friendly, caring, very helpful, and professional. The breakfast is tasty, and included. The television channel selection was adequate, even though I didn't need it often. The fast internet was wired (concrete walls are not conducive to wifi) and the cable was ready in the room, and there was a free-to-use computer in the main lobby if you needed it, plus free printing if a small job. I would definitely stay here again, but I might pay for a double just so I could turn around in the room with my suitcase open.

The Queen's Hotel is in a great location in downtown Stockholm within a 5 minute walk of the train station. We were able to walk to many attractions in Stockholm from here. The room was larger than we were anticipating and was clean and neat. It was a little stark - nothing on the walls, but not a big deal. The bathroom was small, but spotlessly clean. There is no A/C, so leaving the windows open at night can be a bit noisy. We didn't discover the blackout shades on our windows until after the first night, but they helped after that! Breakfast was good with a decent selection, and the staff throughout our stay was welcoming and friendly. Interestingly, we got a better rate through the Stockholm Visitor's Bureau than we did from the hotel directly. Our biggest complaint was the brown sandpaper they pass off as toilet paper. We were looking for a "reasonably priced hotel" (for Sweden anyway), in a good location, and the Queen's Hotel fit the bill.

Stayed at Queen's after 7days at Scandic norra Bantorget.

Costs me Ard S$150/nite.
Was given 2 keys, one to open the door to the hallway to the rooms, and one for my room...troublesome n not safe...cos if u forget to lock ur room door, there is no chain-lock.

Room: dusty, and old, and had hair from the previous resident, no tissue paper, Brown toilet paper, and cold tiles on toilet floors..they expect u to reuse your towels, they only change those u throw on the floor..No Kettle for hot water too..

location: GReat, in the middle of stockholm central, close to central station, (10mins walk.) 5 mins to metro station, near gamla stan. SAfe too..

Breakfast: Buffet, simple continental, but sufficient. Fruits: Only Apples, and sometimes thin slices of watermelons...not appetising at all.. One thing i dread: the staff asked all the tourists which room they were from, every morning when you take breakfast...they dun seem to remember faces..

Staff: The ladies are not v.polite, but the tall young man was really nice and helpful..

Good if u are on a budget, and want to stay in an area easily accessible..
