“Great tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2014

I'm born and raised in Stockholm, but I still found this tour very enjoyable. There's always much to learn, even if it's your hometown. The tour length was almost exactly 1 hour and 50 minutes and took us around a big part of the inner city. It's funny how some things seem so different from the water. I took the tour with my parents, also Stockholmers, and they enjoyed it as well.

A big selection of languages for the audio guide are available as well as a small shop on board with hot/cold beverages, even wine and beer, and snacks. I'd recommend the tour to Swedes and tourists alike.

“Review of the Panorama Tour”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2014

This is as described by the 31.7.13 reviewer, a combined bus and Under the Bridges boat tour by the Stromma group. We chose this over the Hop On Hop Off, our usual choice for sightseeing, as Stockholm was very hot and this tour advertised a/c bus and boat. However, it was a big mistake as the a/c was virtually non existent on the bus and which had a glass roof, and the windows were wide open on the boat!! The bus tour was probably interesting but we were just too uncomfortable to enjoy it. We then had a near half hour wait in blazing sun, again not what we had expected for the boat trip.

The boat trip was a but cooler, and thus more comfortable and we enjoyed the scenery. But again, there was not a/c or always protection from the very hot sun through roof glass or windows.

“Nice day seeing the archipelago”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2014 via mobile

We took the full day thousand islands tour, which was a nice change of pace from the constant walking we had been doing the past week. You will spend the day taking in the scenery, with most of the time on the boat.

We had three stops, all about an hour each. Its challenging to really enjoy a short swim, although they advertise this- the time is too short.

The tour guide was nice with good information, and service on the boat was good.
Lunch was rather ho-hum and very salty, but the dinner was quite nice.

Would recommend if you want a change of pace and to take in the sights away from Sweden along the archipelago.

“Great way to see Stockholm from a different perspective”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2014

This tour is a great way to see the city from water level and with an excellent commentary in many different languages courtesy of a multi lingual sound system with individual ear phones. Plan on 2 hours, but this can vary as an alternate route may need to be taken depending on water levels. On the day we went, we virtually had to retrace our outgoing track due to low levels making one loch impossible to traverse. That had the advantage you could see those things you couldn't see on the outgoing leg but it added considerable time to the journey.
Food and beverages are available for purchase as you enjoy the sights of this beautiful city. A bit hard to imagine people skating the same waterway later in the year.
I would suggest securing your booking early due to the popularity of this cruise.

“Review for the GREEN Hop-On Hop Off Boat Tour”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2014

I did not see many reviews for Stromma's Hop on Hop Off Boat Tour which we took recently while on a port stop in Stockholm. There were several hop-on type boats waiting right next to our cruise ship, all competing for the passengers coming off. They were more or less competitively priced but Stromma's staff were very aggressive and got most of the customers, offering an immediate ship to VASA, and told everyone their ships would be running every 20 minutes that day due to the number of cruise passengers in port. We did get to the VASA very quickly before the crowds which was wonderful, however when we were done, we waited (and waited!!) for 45 minutes at the dock for the boat to come. Meanwhile, during that time 3 red boats arrived and departed. We realized we had chosen the wrong company :( The dock area was overflowing with people now waiting to get on the one boat that finally showed up and people were practically fighting to get on it. The boat was filled to capacity and of course they could not take everyone but at least we got on....standing of course since not everyone who had been on there got off at the VASA stop. This was to be the case with the Royal Sightseeing Stromma Green boats for the remainder of the day and we decided to just walk since we had such limited time in port we did not want to waste any more of it waiting for a boat that might not show up - we wasted alot of money for one 15 minute ride. DO NOT TAKE THE GREEN BOAT!!!!! You are much better off with the red one.
