While Stockholm's canals aren't as extensive or quaint as Amsterdam's there still gorgeous. Stockholm is made up of a group of islands so there's plenty to see.

I went ice-skating on them. This may be illegal (it probably would be in England and some Swedes thought I was mental) but it was surreal and fun.
Tack Stockholm!!

Since I am living in this city since last 4 years. I have got ample opportunities to enjoy the beauty of these canals. They are fascinating, be it summers or iced topped in winters. A must visit if you are visiting the city.

Excellent. As we went in winter, the water was icing over, which was fascinating as the boat could still get through. Good view of the Islands.

This is actually a misnomer, since the boat doesn't really go through any canals. Stockholm is built on several islands with a stream inbetween, this is where the boat criss-crosses. The guide is very informative, it's a useful crash course.
