I can recommend this hotel 100%!

The staff are so helpful with a good local knowledge of restaurants and other facilities, were very accommodating when booking taxis and sourcing english newspapers for me.

The rooms are on the small side, I stayed in 429, it was compact but comfortable and well appointed with a desk, chair a couch and all the other normal facilities.

I work for a Swedish company based in Stockholm and will definitely use this hotel in future, you should give it a try if you want a good central location near shops, the indoor market and some excellent restaurants.

Room Tip: 429 is a nice room

I stayed with two big suitcases at 7th floor of this hotel. But unfortunately the elevator could reach till 6th floor. So I had to go up stair with two big suitcase from 6th to 7th floor! It was too hard.

My wife and I spent 4 nights in the Mornington and loved every minute of it. In fact with minus 11 outside at times outside it was difficult to drag ourselves out to enjoy the excellent museums The breakfast is the perfect staff to any day and the many books around the hotel provide the perfect USP for worms like us. The staff were always extremely helpful and friendly. It doesnt have the best facilities (eg no pool) of hotels we have stayed in but nevertheless its in our Top 10 of favourite hotels simply for its homeliness If, by some freakish circumstances we were forced to live in the hotel we'd have no serious issues with that. We will be back very soon

Room Tip: We stayed in a room on 5th floor away from lift and facing away from street. It was very cosy. The b...

This is a great choice for Stockholm. The rooms are small, but perfectly cosy as only the Swedes can do. A knockout well-equipped gym is also in the hotel if that's your thing. Lovely neighbourhood, near the best food market in town, near the tram... a good in-house restaurant and one of the best bistros in town opposite the hotel. In an expensive city this offers a quality product at a great price.

I stayed for a full week on business: Reception staff was nice, friendly and helpful. I booked a superior room, and it was disappointingly small - changed to another because the first one lacked a fridge, and it was the same size. Rooms were clean, bright Swedish style but a bit worn out. Toilet and Shower was fine, but again - quite small and no shower cabin.

Wi-fi was very poor, and it made it difficult to work, as I often lost connection. Wi-fi is free, but you get these little vouchers valid for 24h. A bit annoying - I've seen that process go much smoother elsewhere.

They provide you with a couple of Ramlösa (sparkling) everyday, which was lovely. Ice machine in the hallways - nice too.

Breakfast wasn't too fantastic - very standard stuff, and not a single surprise. They served a couple of hot things, which were quite good, but again - standard stuff.
The lobby bar and restaurant is quite lively in the evenings, which brings a nice atmosphere to the place - I had my dinner there once - Wontons were horrible - but the Beef Rydberg was excellent!
Location was quite alright - centrally located, lot's of bars and restaurants within reach, but still quiet enough to get a good nights sleep.

There's a gym with sauna in the basement, which is free of charge if you're in a superior room or above - it was quite cool, and had an exclusive feeling to it!

Regarding value for money - I'm not sure - but compared to the other Nordic capitals, this is in the low end - I'm not sure for Stockholm though.

Room Tip: Some superior rooms have fridges - others have iron boards...

I visited Mornington last November for a weekend with friends and all I can say is that this hotel helped us having a great time. The location in the heart of Stockholm is the best, the service was great and the breakfast is amongst the best in Sweden. I will go there now again this weekend knowing that I will be taken care of in a personal way. //Anton

The Mornington Hotel Stockholm is a very nice looking hotel. Inside there are many book cases full of books which give the place a quite calm and relaxing ambiente.

The Rooms are are nice although I found a it annoying the fact that there is no minibar in there. The breakfast offered is also quite good with many options and a lot of fresh things.
