Something very special about this place. The views over Lake Malaren from the back of the Town Hall are spectacular. You can go for a tour inside or just relax in the grounds....

“Best attraction in Stockholm”
Reviewed August 21, 2014

Interesting story about the construction of the city hall. Can only be visited with guided tours. Check the website for times for English tours. The Nobel banquet hall and the gold room are worth it. The views by the water is great too.

Nice city view from the tower (tower is only open to public during summer, separate entrance and ticket from city hall). There are quite some climbing for the tower. There's a lift that can take you to about 2/3 of the way, but you still need to climb the rest of the way up.

“Good tour guide”
Reviewed August 21, 2014

Tour in English was interesting, took about 40 minutes. The gold room was fantastic. City hall is near the dock where you catch the boat to Drottningholm so we did both in a day.

“Very Nice!”
Reviewed August 20, 2014

I almost skipped this because I thought, "who cares about seeing city hall", but it's very interesting an our guide was enthusiastic and informative. Don't forget to go to the top of the tower to see the grand 360 degree views of the city. An elevator will take you most of the way up.

“Don't miss”

Although it is crowdy, because of tourists (and even more if cruises arrive) is a must. Really beautiful streets and lot of places to dinner.
