Owner description: The Stockholm City Hall is one of Sweden's most famous buildings, and one of the capital's most visited tourist attractions. It houses offices for 200 people including the Municipal Council, and is also famous for its grand ceremonial halls and unique art pieces. The Stockholm City Hall is the venue of the Nobel Prize banquet held on 10 December each year. Between May and September, the City Hall Tower offers a breathtaking view of Stockholm.

If you only have time to visit a couple of locations in Stockholm. The "Stadshuset" should be one. The tours are 45 minutes (no extra cost if you have a Stockholm card). The building and grounds are attractive and the Gold room is very impressive even by European castle standards.

the city hall is a place to be visited due to the fact that the festivities of Nobel Price take place. I advise the guided tour in the city hall where all the information on the Nobel prize and Alfred Nobel are given.

Stockholm has made an industry our of trips round their city hall but has some stunning features and the trip we went on was very interesting as well. The council chamber and the golden hall with its millions of gold mosaic tiles were outstanding. Well worth it.

This is a must-see in Stockholm. You really can't miss the picturesque tower along the water, and a tour of the inside is well worth your time. Many of the rooms also had pretty murals, but the banquet halls where the Nobel Prize Banquet is held each year were the highlights for us. The tour included the pretty architecture in the three-story Blue Hall and a wonderful mosaic-filled room called the Gold Hall.

We didnt want to miss this place, as this is the place where Nobel price dinners/banquets are held every year. Very nice painting on the walls, huge and one can only imagine/dream dancing waltz in the middle of the city hall!
