We had a guided tour of the City Hall in English. Our guide was good and gave lots of interesting information. The tour is quite swift so do take photos as you go along, as I mistakenly thought at the end of the tour we would be left to wander the buliding on our own until we finished all photos. The views are amazing though, the entrance fee is pricey. Hence I would only visit once. The Nobel Dinner Hall is gorgeous with its gold walls.

The halls and stairways of the City Hall (Stadshuset) are very impressive. This is where the Nobel Prize and many other ceremonies and banquets are held. Take a deep breath as you start climbing up the stairs of the tower. The view is stunning, but the climb can be tiresome for some. Don't let the younger children walk up on their own.

The building was interesting and the guide was very professional and knowledgeable. It was an interesting insight into the building. Entrance fee was a bit steep though. But it's the same for almost all tourist sights in Stockholm.

I did not have time to tour City Hall but I did climb to the top (106 meters) of the Maiden Tower to get an amazing view of Gamla Stan, Sodermalm and the city of Stockholm. The climb is steep and narrow at some points but if you are able the view is well worth the effort. There is a legend that a princess waited behind a great iron door in this tower praying for St George to rescue her.
