The Vase Museum was the highlight for us on the entire trip. The ship and history is just mesmerising and every single thing that you can possibly learn and see from within the museum is very interesting. The entry price wasn't too steep considering other nearby museums that were double the price.

Totally fascinating. A must see. We were warned the crowds in summer are unbelievable & people come from all over the world to see it!

Our trip to the Vasa mueseum was wonderful. However you prepare for it, the Ship takes your breath away: the size (especially relative to the room its in), and the detailed craftsmanship adds to the impressiveness of it. There are viewing rooms where you can watch documentaries n the Vasa (its building and sinking) as well as the discovery 300+ years later. Very informative visit.

This museum is dedicated to the ship called Vasa. The Vasa is a 17th Century warship which sunk back in 1628. I believe it had the shortest maiden voyage in history.

Very impressive how they have worked to preserve this amazing piece of work. There are many exhibits which tell the story of the Vasa. Unfortunately, we did not have the time to truly appreciate what we saw. We were part of a tour group, and they only gave us about an hour to go through the museum. Not enough time.

If you are very interested in history and ships, then make certain to stop in at Vasamuseet. You will not be disappointed.

English translation and films brought this to light. The carving and artwork are impressive (highlighted the sheer arrogance of the king). The shipyard was run by a woman - most unusual in the day - widowed. The shipwright followed the misguided plans of the king to the letter. Risk management lesson - the stability test was cut short because it nearly capsized in the dock. Still sent people on maiden voyage including wives and children of the crew! Science of osteo-phsysical evidence and preservation techniques enables deep understanding of the value of science based evidence and how to frame questions for scientific investigation.

It's really touching and educational to see this vessel and learn its story. I would also like the signs show the path to the museum better

We were on a day trip to Stockholm from Oslo and I have always wanted to see the Vasa Museum. Many people may not have ever heard of this famous ship so I would suggest a quick visit to Google and learn more about it before your'visit.Unfortunately it is very dark inside the Museum and even the strongest flash on a camera achieves little result.Great relics around the Museum -.It is only a short walk from the Abba Museum and well worth the visit.

Well worth a visit. Interesting insight into the 17th century life on the waves.
Not Stockholm’s finest hour. The shop sailed for 20 mins and sank!!!
