Owner description: The Vasa ship capsized and sank in Stockholm 1628. After 333 years on the sea bed the mighty warship was salvaged and the voyage could continue. Today Vasa is the world's only preserved 17th century ship and the most visited museum in Scandinavia.

“Impressive hand carved ship”

The movie about the ship was quite informative, you can watch it in different languages at certain times and Vasa itself is a must to see!

“Best Attraction in Stockholm!”
Reviewed February 12, 2014

Make sure to see the movie about the raising of the boat and the restoration! It is shown throughout the day but you need to check the times and the languages. This museum is extremely well laid out - very good descriptions of everything about the boat and something to see on every floor. It is behind the Nordisk Museum but once you get to the museum it is hard to tell it is the entrance! It should be more welcoming but other than that when you get inside there is so much to see and you can keep busy looking at everything for a long time. There are hands on activities for younger kids too.

“Not just another shipwreck!”
Reviewed February 12, 2014

Amazing place and worth the price. It must be one of the greatest museums in the whole world. Really well and entertainingly diplayed, although it handles tragic matters back from time. You really can feel those incidents, because of such well displayed exhibition.
It's handy to get there by tram, easy and quick access. And even if it's crowded, there is plenty of space around the wrecked ship. Please, bring kids as well, very educational. However, for a peaceful stroll thru the whole museum, be prepared to spend 2 hours here, even more.

“The best museum I've ever been”
Reviewed February 12, 2014

It is 'must see' number one in Stockholm! The great ship on display and the explanation of every its part on different languages. 'Face to face' exhibition is also very interesting.
