Very good conservation. It's worth a look at the film as you enter the museum because it gives you plenty of information.
It is enough about an hour to visit the museum. The ticket price is against expectations.

Really impressive had a great couple hours going around this grand old shop, the entrance fee may put you off especially if like us not museum goers but this one is a must as not just the impressive ship but the work in raising her is wow

Very interesting museum. Can see the ship from all angles. Stunning displays of people back then. A must.

Very interesting and it is amazing how such an old boat is intact. You can see the boat from different floors.

When leaving the ferry, its a short walk to the museum. Museum was a great experience. There are several other museums within walking distance. Great if the weather is fine as it was the day of my visit. Parts of the museum are very dark, I wish I had a better camera.

“Very good” just about sums it up although considering the effort to get there on ferry plus the price, the films could be more engaging. It’s fascinating to see the Viking ship (see photos) and some of the other artefacts and exhibits. There are many large boards with lots of text in Swedish and English so not particularly engaging for children. A pity as if done better eg more engaging multi media etc, it would be a great place for 5 - 12 year olds too. As a retired teacher, my opinion is that many children would lose interest quite quickly. So perhaps could do with some input from an Educational consultant and then an upgrade in the future??

Vasa museum is one of the biggest cultural treasure in Sweden. This museum is about the warship Vasa that sank in 1628 on its maiden voyage from Stockholm. It was located again in late 1950 from the sea . Learn the history through exhibition and pictures.

This museum was recommended by everyone but I initially thought- “Another dead ship?” But it truly is a stunning, even exciting, display over three levels so that visitors can be as close as possible to all aspects of the Vasa. What’s more, for people with hearing loss (like me), a hearing aid compatible commentary can be accessed through your smartphone. For those who don’t have smartphones, the displays contain a lot of written text. Highly recommended.
