I took a ferry from the old town to Djurgarden which was great as I also managed to see Stockholm from the sea :) The park is just great, with a number of museums and amusement places. I visited the ABBA museum and the Junibacken which can also be called Astrid Lindgren museum. It was a great fairy-tale museum for kids to play in toy houses of Mummins, Karlson, Peppi and other characters, ride a car or a horse, as well as take a train through a number of tales and decorations. Such a pity my baby boy was not with me on that trip, he would have enjoyed it greatly! There were also several cafes which served good coffee with desserts. I definitely recommend visiting this place.

On our late summer trip to Stockholm, we frequented Djurgarden nearly every day! It was a great place to run, walk and simply just enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Bring your camera!

We walked around Djurgarden after arriving on the bus. The park is around a big lake which leads out to the sea. It is a very nice park with lots to do on the west side. Really calm and lovely for a walk, and many museums and attractions there. Use the no.7 tram to get there, it makes it so easier.

We travelled by tram and went to the Abba, Vasa and Spirits Museum and would have explored a lot more if time had permitted. Looked very beautiful from the Royal Canal Tour boat trip.

A beautiful park by the waterside. Some incredible mansions in the park now fantastic restaurants. Take the vintage tram there at weekend and take a trip in the past
