“Possibly the best city-centre location for a run ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 25, 2012

This is a very popular place to run or walk, and with good reason. Trails are well signposted. One loop all the way around paths nearest the edge of the island is about 10km, but you could shortcut this if you're short of time. It's beautiful, with woods, views of the harbour, pretty traditional wooden houses, and a sculpture park. The area near the bridge to the city centre at the east of the island is a bit busier with an amusement park and a few trams. Over towards the west site it's hard to believe you're only a couple of miles from the centre of a capital city.

“Stockholm's St. Augustine FL”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2012

Same idea as St. Augustine... typical centuries-old village reconstructed around craft shops of the period (with live exhibition). Damsels dressed in period clothing wandering around. Entrance fee is a little expensive, but worth it if you have children because you can spend the whole day there.

“Nice place for a walk.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2012

Our hotel was quite close to Djurgarden so we walked over. Unfortunately it was rainy so we didn't rent a kayak. That would have been fun if the weather was better. We went to the open air museum and the Vasa museum there. The amusement park looked like fun for younger people.

“Great park with a lot to do”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2012

Terrific place to run or walk, or experience some of the many eclectic amusements. I liked the zoo better than the Skansa exhibit, but the best part was jogging along the waterside and having to run through a flock of sheep while the sheepdogs looked on nervously. As of July there were three lynx cubs at the theme park/zoo, and that is a rare site. All in all it is a nice way to spend a day.
