This was our second stay in this charming hotel which has an excellent view across the harbour
and is only a five minute walk from the centre. The handsome 'art nouveau' building forms one of a chain of fine facades along the waterside of Strandvagen. Trams pass along here giving easy access to other parts of town. Important institutions such as the National Gallery of Art are only 10 minutes walk away around the other side of the harbour. The small reception area with friendly staff leads to the curving stairway (there is no lift) opening on the first floor into a spacious lounge. All the rooms are arranged around a central courtyard, so if you follow the corridor round, you come back to where you started. The rooms are traditionally but comfortably furnished.
The breakfast selection is very good, but seating is limited and it may be difficult to sit with your family. Amazing design shops such as Svensk Tenn are a few doors away along Strandvagen
and don't miss the amazing Saluhall indoor food market which is only a few minutes walk away. You can also eat in one of the restaurants there. We would certainly go back to this comfortable hotelMore
