I recommend going in a free walking tour or Search on google for the history and The misteries about Gamla Stan, like The scandinavian's smallest statue, the narrowest street on earth and some more!

Beautiful place, lots to eat. I would recommend seeing the Royal Palace and Parliament for sure.

A little touristy but what do you expect. Highly recommend.

We walked through Old Town a couple times while visiting Stockholm. A nice cobblestone area with a lot of tourist shops and cafes. Worth a look and a nice place to walk through but I wouldn’t spend a lot of time here.

Shops their open relatively late! 10 or 11 but walking around the area is fun. Its touristic indeed but not as ugly kind of tourism you see in other old major cities in Europe.
Check the cathedral.. modest but beautiful.

Self guided tour of the old town. Used a day pass from Uppsala Central. Allowed ferry, tram and bus travel to navigate this city. Intersected with guided walks, they appear to be very knowledgeable. Try Feka at one of the many cafe's in the narrow lanes.

Visit old town with plenty museums with Stockholm pass save a lot. Which also include unlimited ride on hop on hop off bus.Recommend to go to the Post office museum and have fun to dress like postman, take a picture and send the post card back home free!

We ran through Old Town a couple times while visiting Stockholm. It’s a cute cobblestone area with a bunch of tourist shops and cafes. Worth a look and a nice place to run through but I wouldn’t spend a lot of time here. The parliament buildings are a part of it and you’ll see security guards in the area.

a must go to place in stockholm. you could spend an afternoon walking around and taking your time to explore the place. didn’t buy anything though as taking photos were enough to remember the place by.

The old town is absolutely charming. Streets are adorned with excellent restaurants and shops. Not to mention the historical sites such as the Royal Palace. All types of good food is found in the restaurants. Swedish restaurants frequented by locals are interspersed with those for visitors. A very safe walking environment with gorgeous little streets, charming squares and quaint coffee shops.
